The House of GABI · Our Story

Wear your meaning.

GABI is for the woman who wears her strength in silence. Who sees the world clearly, and herself, even more so. A house of symbolic luxury — and eyewear is its first expression.

Berkana — the beginning

There comes a moment when speed no longer feels like progress.

Some places teach us to slow down. To see differently — beauty, time, and what luxury really means.

GABI was born from that slowness: designed with London discipline, made deliberately, and named in symbols older than fashion itself.

"These were never meant to be sunglasses. They were meant to become beautiful objects a woman reaches for every morning — without thinking."

Alexandra · Founder
GABI

Four letters. Each one carries a name — a son, a maker, a dream.
It began as something private, and became something worn.

We work where the light is at its softest.

GABI lives by the Mediterranean — not as an address, but as a collaborator. The sea gave the founder her slower life; the sun gives the house its standard.

Colour reveals itself differently under this sky. Amber acetate turns to honey at seven in the evening. Matte black holds its calm at noon. Every frame is judged and lived with in the same light our women will wear it in — the light of long lunches, salt air, and unhurried afternoons.

Sowilo is the rune of the sun. It was always going to find its way into this house.

Othala — the rune of heritage

The craft is quiet. That is the point.

Every GABI frame is cut from Mazzucchelli bio-acetate — plant-based material from the Italian house that has defined fine acetate since 1849 — chosen for its depth of colour, its warmth against the skin, and its ability to age beautifully rather than wear out. We produce in small batches, not seasons. No overproduction. No logo shouting for attention. Designed not to shout, but to speak softly.

The material is not the story. It is the promise beneath the story — the reason a GABI frame can carry a meaning for years, not months.

Fehu — the rune of abundance

She wears her strength in silence.

There comes a season when a woman no longer dresses for attention. Elegance, she has learned, is not expensive — it is intentional.

Her frames are her signature. Berkana when she is beginning something new. Fehu when abundance is the mood. Sowilo for the days made of light. A private meaning, worn in plain sight.

She doesn't wear GABI to become someone else. She wears it because it already feels like home.

"A woman doesn't choose a frame because it matches her outfit.
She chooses it because it reflects who she is becoming."
Gebo — the rune of the gift

Beauty should give back.

Every pair supports children in Ukraine — a place close to our hearts, and part of the founder's own story. Gebo, the rune of the gift, is stitched into how this house operates: what we receive, we pass on.

It is not a campaign. It is a standing promise.

Wunjo — the rune of joy

A house is never finished. It unfolds.

Chapter One

The name and the rule

GABI is founded in London as an independent house with one rule: no frame leaves without a name and a meaning.

Chapter Two

The runes take shape

Berkana, Fehu, Gebo, Inguz, Sowilo and Wunjo are cut in Mazzucchelli bio-acetate — finished in matte black and gold.

Chapter Three

First windows

From St Christopher's Place in London to Marbella, the House of GABI is beginning to write its story — through a growing collection of independent boutiques across Germany, Ukraine and Canada.

The chapter now writing itself

The house opens its doors to you

The full collection comes home to gabi-eyewear.com — with new light, new colours, and runes still to be written. Eyewear is only the first expression of this house. It will not be the last.

Wear your meaning.
